This work presents research carried out together Young Alternative Movements inserted in Teresina. Aimed to understand how cultural practices that young people play, are positive and constitute their youth cultures. Specifically, to identify how they are involved and what are the cultural practices that develop these subjects. We chose to investigate two groups: Skaters and Hip-Hop Movement. This research was supported by studies Abramovay (2002), Melucci (1997), Dayrell (2005) Sposito (2006), Bomfim (2006) among others. For further research, as metodógicas choices, we used qualitative research, making personal contacts and semi-structured interviews and questionnaires with young people of the two movements. We found that most young people surveyed are involved in the Alternative Movement in situations of vulnerability and are part of a marked social exclusion. However, it was an encouraging experience to observe that even immersed in situations provadoras choose positive alternatives by aggregating the alternative movements of Teresina-PI that enable them visibility in society. The youth, in all its facets, lack of public policies aimed at her, and attention from adults, need to be seen and be treated as "people", as a young man in particular, not only as a transitional phase for life adult full of accomplishments.
