The text approaches the reflection of adolescents on its experiences inside and outside of the Heliópolis Community, as for the ethnic-cultural belonging, local of origin, partner-economic condition and the institucional actions of the public and private agents with the poor, black people, of the periphery. The data presented in the text are part of the activities carried through with the pupils of 9º year of Basic Education, on the curricular content of it disciplines of History and Law 10.639/2003. The stories of the experiences, theoretical texts, periodicals and data of the IBGE had promoted reflections and proposals of individual and collective actions for the confrontation of Brazilian institucional racism.
