This paper reports the technical assistance provided to technician who develop workshops with young people in the "Casa do Zezinho", at the scope of the project "Rappers, new messengers in the urban periphery of São Paulo: the esthetic-musical contestation that emancipates and educates" coordinated by Professor Dr. Monica Amaral. Psychoanalytic texts that were discussed along the advisement allowed technicians to elaborate their relationship with young people who attend at the workshops proposed in the project. It was discussed how the workshops allowed the construction of subjectivity. The office allowed the understanding of different forms of anguish experienced by students, including situations of mourning experienced. The artistic expression was thought as a way of mourning elaboration, psychic integration and subjective construction. It is concluded that the work potentiated the transforming character of the project's workshops.
