ABOUT THE EVENT

16 years ago, a research group for the study of the nursing communication process recognized the possibility to discuss and share its research results with the scientific community.
Thus, in 1988, the 1st SIBRACEn - Brazilian Nursing Communication Symposium - was held. The achievement of the goals and the satisfaction expressed by participants made the organizers assume the commitment to continue this strategy. Hence, every two years on a regular basis, the University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing organizes the SIBRACEn. This way, the event occurred in eight biannual editions and, over these sixteen years, it has become established as a space needed for debate and updating for those who chose Nursing Communication as a research line that deserves collective investments.
